Welcome to Wolverhampton Compact

The Wolverhampton Compact is a commitment between the Statutory Sector and Voluntary and Community Sector in Wolverhampton which aims to ensure we work better together.

About Wolverhampton Compact

The Wolverhampton Compact partnership came together in 2004 to develop the Compact document. The Wolverhampton Compact was launched in April 2005. Following this a Monitoring and Implementation group was set up to steer the further development of the Compact including the writing of the six Codes of Practice and the Dispute Resolution Process.

The work to develop the Compact is undertaken in a partnership arrangement between the Wolverhampton Voluntary Sector Council and the Wolverhampton City Council. The two organisations work closely through officers working in each of the sectors. They work together to implement the Compact, which helps build upon the good relationship between the sectors in order to continue to improve partnership working. A successful Compact ensures equity between the sectors when working in partnerships, to ensure better outcomes for the Communities of Wolverhampton.

Wolverhampton Compact's latest Action Plan has been revamped and revitalised through the adoption of an "Outcomes approach" to planning.  The new plan identifies that although there is a single overall aim to bring about long-term change by implementing the Compact, specific tasks have been identified to achieve that aim and outcomes for each of these have been outlined. To view the Action Plan please click on the link below.
