MAIG Members

On behalf of the signatories of the Compact, the Monitoring and Implementation Group undertake to steer the work of the Compact.  Monitoring and Implementation Group Members are automatically Compact Champions and as part of this group, will undertake the more detailed work on Compact development.  

The Monitoring and Implementation Group undertakes to steer the following work:

• Promote the development of good practice in partnership working between the public sector and the voluntary and community sector.
• Produce an Annual Report on the working of the Compact.
• Organise a Compact Champions Annual Event.
• Identify additional or new areas of focus.
• Recommend updates of the Compact as necessary and seek approval for these changes at the Compact Champions Annual Event.
• Support the Champions in helping them to develop and monitor the use of the Compact in their organisations.
• Advise on the implementation of the Compact’s principles, good practice guidance and codes of practice.
• Commission and monitor the development of the 6 Codes of Practice.
• Develop action plans for the promotion and development of the Compact.
• Establish dispute resolution mechanisms.
• Undertake formal reviews of the Compact, usually at three yearly intervals.
• Meet not less than four times per year.
• To undertake other tasks in keeping with the development of the Wolverhampton Compact.
• Liaise with Third Sector Partnership regarding development, implementation and monitoring.
• Report to Wolverhampton via the Third Sector Partnership.
